php[tek] 2019 Schedule is Live
We’ve posted the schedule for php[tek] 2019 over at tek.phparch.com. We’ll be returning to Atlanta, Georgia for a third year this May. Read on to see the new tracks format, planned sessions, and meet our speakers.
New Track Format. Shiny!
We’ve changed the format significantly from previous editions of php[tek] and it’s very different than a conference like PHP world. This change was made based on feedback from previous attendees requesting more in-depth and advanced sessions on any given topic. We’ve organized our talks into one and two day tracks on Professional Programming, Advanced PHP, Building APIs, PHP Internals, Application Security, Web Performance, Testing, and DevOps.
Wait, Where’s the CfP?
To support organizing our track in this manner, we could not hold a traditional Call for Speakers. We identified and invited a hand-selected group of expert speakers to prepare all the talks for each track. The main focus is that the talks could complement the other talks in a track. So, if you want to drink from the Testing fire hose you can attend all the talks given by Chris Hartjes, Jason McCreary, Or if you want to learn how to contribute back to PHP’s internals you can attend all the talks with Sara Golemon and Sammy Kaye Powers.
Fear not though! We’ll still have a Call for Speakers for php[world] this fall.
